Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Dieter Jentsch to the position of Executive Vice President, Commercial Banking. In his new position, Mr. Jentsch will be responsible for defining and implementing the strategic direction and goals of Scotiabank’s Canadian commercial banking business, recognizing the importance of the sector to the Bank.
Mr. Jentsch joined Scotiabank in 1983 and most recently was Managing Director & Head, Scotia Private Client Group, Wealth Management. Mr. Jentsch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture, a Master of Business Administration degree, and a diploma from the Advanced Management Programme at INSEAD (European Institute of Business). He is a professional Agrologist and a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. Mr. Jentsch is also a board member of the Toronto Board of Trade.
