The Board of Directors of Emera Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Chris Huskilson as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Mr. Huskilson began his career with Nova Scotia Power, Emera’s largest subsidiary, in 1980. He has held a broad range of increasingly senior positions including Senior Operations Engineer; Generating Plant Manager; Vice President of Transmission & Distribution; and Executive Vice President of Operations. He was named Chief Operating Officer of Emera in July, 2003.

Mr. Huskilson is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Nova Scotia; the Canadian Electricity Association; and the Executive Committee of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Governors of the Nova Scotia Community College and serves on the Board of the Halifax Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Huskilson is Vice-Chairman of Bangor Hydro-Electric Company. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
