Robin S. Hibberd,
Executive Vice-President, Domestic Personal Lending and Insurance

Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Robin S. Hibberd to the position of Executive Vice-President, Domestic Personal Lending and Insurance. In his new position, Robin will be responsible for leading the Bank’s personal credit businesses in Canada, including mortgages, lines of credit, personal term lending and credit cards, as well as the Bank’s insurance business in Canada. Robin is also the President and CEO of Scotia Mortgage Corporation.

Robin joined Scotiabank in 1987 and has more than 16 years of executive experience with the Bank. He led the Consumer Credit product area for Scotiabank and spent eight years based in Hong Kong as head of the Bank’s Asian operations. Robin returned to Canada in 2006 and assumed strategic investment responsibilities as Senior Vice-President, Corporate Development.

A past President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong in 1996, Robin was a Governor thereafter until 2006 and sat on the Asian Advisory Board at Richard Ivey School of Business in Hong Kong. Robin is a Chartered Accountant and received both an Honours BA and MBA from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
