Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Garneau to the position of Senior Vice-President, Quebec and Eastern Ontario Region. In his new position, Mr. Garneau will lead efforts to make Scotiabank a market leader in Quebec and Eastern Ontario Region by focussing on our customers and target markets.
Mr. Garneau has been with the Scotiabank Group for almost 38 years, holding management positions in administration, as well as retail and commercial banking. In Quebec, he was Vice-President of the Montreal and Northwest Provincial Office and later Vice-President and Manager of Tour Scotia Main Branch and Commercial Banking Centre. For the past five years, Mr. Garneau worked in the area of international banking in Chili where he was the Scotiabank Senior Representative for Banco Sud Americano and Vice-Chairman responsible for credit risk evaluation.
