Subsequent to the recent acquisition of A&P Canada, Mr. Pierre H. Lessard, President and Chief Executive Officer of METRO INC., is pleased to announce the following appointments and organizational changes:
Eric Richer La Flèche, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer of METRO INC., will oversee the Quebec and Ontario divisions from now on, as well as the real estate and information systems sectors. Since joining METRO in 1991, he has held leadership positions in various sectors of the Company.
With annualized sales of nearly $11 billion and more than 65,000 employees, METRO INC. is a leader in the food and pharmaceutical sectors in Quebec and Ontario where it operates a network of close to 600 food stores under the Metro, Metro Plus, Super C, A&P, Dominion, Loeb and Food Basics banners, as well as more than 250 pharmacies under the Brunet, Clini-Plus, The Pharmacy and Drug Basics banners.
