S. Barry Jackson, Chairman, TransCanada Corporation, is pleased to announce that Kevin E. Benson and E. Linn Draper have joined TransCanada's Board of Directors.
E. Linn Draper retired as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Columbus, Ohio-based American Electric Power Co., Inc. (AEP) in 2004. Dr. Draper previously served a Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer of Gulf States Untilities Company, Beaumont, Texas.
Dr. Draper also serves as a director of NorthWestern Corporation, Temple-Inland Inc., Alliance Data Systems Corporation and Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. Dr. Drpaer will sit on the Health, Safety and Environment, and Human Resources committees of the TransCanada board.
Dr. Draper holds a bachelors and masters degree in chemical engineering from Rice University, and a PhD in nuclear science and engineering from Cornell University.
