Karen Gavan, president and chief executive officer of The Economical Insurance Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Louis Doiron as Senior Vice-President and Chief Risk Officer.
Louis brings a wealth of risk management expertise to Economical as the company sustains profitable growth and prepares to be the first Canadian property and casualty insurer to demutualize.
In addition to his considerable actuarial and risk management expertise accumulated through leadership experiences consulting within the life and health and P&C insurance industries, Louis has held senior leadership positions with major international insurance and reinsurance companies, banks and government agencies.
Louis is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and holds a bachelor of science degree in actuarial science from Laval University.
