The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is pleased to announce its 2001 President, Ranjit (Randy) K. Dhar B. Arch. (IIT), MFA (Illinois), OAA, FRAIC, MCIP, CSLA.
Dr. Dhar has served on OAA Council since 1998, most recently as Senior Vice President and Treasurer (2000) and Vice President of External Relations (1999). Mr. Dhar serves as a representative of the OAA on the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture and is a fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. In a leadership role, Mr. Dhar has been active in the American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) Design-Build Group and in the Committee on Architecture for Justice. He has been appointed the Jury Chair of AIA Annual Justice Facilities Review (2000).
Mr. Dhar is Director, Industry and Government Relations, Real Property Services, Ontario Region, Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). He received his Master’s degree in architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
The Ontario Association of Architects is a self-regulating profession under the Architects Act. Membership includes 2,600 architects, 950 intern architects and 570 associates. As well, as part of its regulatory mandate, the Association provides a wide range of services to its members and the public.
