National Co-managing Partner

Heenan Blaikie is pleased to announce the election of Kip Daechsel as National Co-managing Partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2013. Kip is a member of both the Ontario and Quebec bars, and has been with Heenan Blaikie for over 22 years. Kip is a senior member of the firmís Business Law Group. His practice consists of mergers and acquisitions, financial services, the regulation of financial institutions and counseling clients on strategically sensitive matters. Kip is also an active volunteer in the not-for-profit sector.
Kip succeeds Norman Bacal, who founded the firmís Toronto office in 1989, and who will continue practicing in the firmís Business Law Group. Kip joins his fellow National Co-managing Partner, Robert Bonhomme, whose election to that position was effective January 2012.
This year, Heenan Blaikie will celebrate 40 years of providing innovative legal excellence to its clients. Heenan Blaikie is comprised of 575 lawyers and other professionals serving its clients from nine offices in Canada, an office in Paris, and a representative office in Singapore.
