Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Bob Brooks to the position of Senior Executive Vice-President, Treasury and Operations. As Executive Vice-President and Group Treasurer, he was responsible for the treasury functions of Scotiabank Group. He will now assume additional responsibility for Systems and Operations.
Mr. Brooks joined Scotiabank in 1968 and has held a variety of positions throughout his career with the Bank. Mr. Brooks is currently the Chairman of Scotiabank (Ireland) and a director of several of the Bank’s subsidiaries and affiliates.
Mr. Brooks has been actively involved in a number of industry associations and community endeavours. He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, past Chairman of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, a member of the board of directors of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, and a past President of The Empire Club of Canada.
