Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Brandt to the position of Senior Vice-President, Retail and Small Business Banking, Toronto Region. In his new position, Mr. Brandt will manage over 3,000 employees, responsible for the management of personal and small business banking through over 190 Scotiabank branches in the Greater Toronto Area.
Mr. Brandt joined Scotiabank in 1971 and has held various positions, including Branch Manager, Commercial Account Manager, District Operations, Credit Adjudication, Training and Small Business Product Development. Most recently, he was Senior Vice-President, Retail and Small Business Banking for Atlantic Canada, based in Halifax.
While in Nova Scotia, Mr. Brandt was actively involved in the community. He served as a board member and campaign chair of United Way, board member of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and management committee member of the Halifax Club. He was an active member of Ashburn Golf Club, The Scots and served on various foundation boards.
