Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of Chiara Borrelli to the position of Senior Vice-President, Risk Policy. In her new position, Ms. Borrelli is responsible for the development, communication and oversight of all of the Bank’s risk policies and will continue to maintain responsibility for executing the Bank’s Operational Risk program.
Ms. Borrelli’s career with Scotiabank has spanned 20 years, beginning at the Bank as a Treasury Trainee in 1987. Following several progressive moves, Ms. Borrelli was appointed in 2004 to VP, Operational and Treasury Risk Management.
Ms. Borrelli holds an MBA in Finance from McGill University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She is a former President of the Canadian Asset Liability Management Association and has volunteered at the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation as part of the Breast Centre Women’s Committee.
