Karen Gavan, president and chief executive officer of The Economical Insurance Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of David Boone as Vice-President, Strategic Projects.
Mr. Boone will play a key role in guiding and sustaining Economicalís operational and strategic initiatives, including the preparation for the companyís planned demutualization.
David works closely with the strategic business units and other head office departments on continuous improvement initiatives, and will exercise responsibility for corporate procurement. David provides the leadership team and the broader organization with strategic counsel and support.
David brings to Economical 21 years of management experience, primarily focused in the financial services and healthcare sectors. David was formerly vice-president, corporate services and facilities for AEGON Canada/Transamerica Life Canada. Prior to that, he held senior management positions with The Hospital for Sick Children.
