Paul Lucas, President and CEO of GlaxoSmithKline Inc., is pleased to announce the following appointment:
Mr. Herman van Barneveld has been appointed Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of GSK Inc., leading the company’s financial planning and reporting.
Having joined GSK in 1997, Mr. van Barneveld held a number of senior positions within the company, most recently with GSK’s European division where he was Director, Finance & IT. In addition, Mr. van Barneveld was responsible for Corporate Governance and Risk Management, and headed the European Distribution & Supply Chain Program.
Mr. van Barneveld has a degree in Economics from HEAO Utrecht and a CPA from Erasmus University, Rotterdam.
