HSBC Bank Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Nancy Hughes Anthony to its Board of Directors. Ms. Hughes Anthony is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, based in Ottawa.
Ms. Hughes Anthony has gained senior management experience in the federal and provincial governments as well as the private sector, having served as a federal deputy minister, a senior advisor to the government of Prince Edward Island and as a corporate executive.
Ms. Hughes Anthony is an Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Business and Labour Centre, Vice-Chair of the World Chambers Federation and a Governor of the Council for Canadian Unity. In addition, Ms. Hughes Anthony has received the Women’s Executive Network 100 Most Powerful Woman Award and has been selected several times as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Canada by the National Post.
