Dr. A. Scott Carson
Peter H. Sims, Chairman of the Board of Economical Mutual Insurance Company, is pleased to announce the election of Dr. A. Scott Carson as a Director of the company following the retirement of John H. Panabaker. Dr. A. Scott Carson is Dean of the School of Business and Economics and Professor of Business Policy at Wilfrid Laurier University. He is the former Chair of the Canadian Federation of Business School Deans and was previously Dean, Frank H. Sobey Faculty of Commerce, Saint Mary's University. As well, he has held teaching positions at the University of Alberta and Queen's University. Dr. Carson was CEO, Privatization Secretariat, Government of Ontario. He has also held senior management positions in banking.
Dr. Carson sits on several corporate boards and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Commerce of Kitchener and Waterloo.
