Jacques Lamarre, President and Chief Executive Officer of SNC-Lavalin Group Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of the following individuals to the position of Executive Vice-President and member of the Office of the President.
P.S. (Krish) Krishnamoorthy has 30 years' experience in process industries. Since joining SNC-Lavalin in 1976, he has been involved in every facet of the company's petroleum refining and petrochemicals activities.
Mr. Krishnamoorthy has successfully positioned the company to execute major contracts in the oil sands industry while reinforcing its capabilities to win and carry out important projects in domestic and international markets.
He was responsible for the development and implementation of procedures and standards for project management, administration, project control, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
As Executive Vice-President, Mr. Krishnamoorthy is now responsible for the company's chemicals and petroleum business sector and its European operations.
Gilles Laramée has 20 years' experience in finance, taxation, treasury, mergers and acquisitions. He joined SNC-Lavalin in 1986 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in finance and treasury.
During his career with SNC-Lavalin, he has initiated major changes in the company's approach to its corporate banking practices and taxation, and improved financial controls and reporting, as well as participated in various acquisitions of companies.
As Executive Vice-President, Finance, Mr. Laramée is now responsible for Administration, Finance, Internal Audit, Legal Affairs and Risk Management, the Risk Evaluation Committee, Taxation and Treasury. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Klaus Triendl has 30 years' experience in the power manufacturing, engineering and construction industries. He joined SNC-Lavalin in 1975, and has worked on power and water projects in Canada, India, China and Malaysia, among other locations.
Mr. Triendl has been involved in some of the largest and most complex power installations in the world. He has led teams of engineers and specialists conducting feasibility studies and assessments and providing engineering, detailed design, and project and construction management for the hydroelectric, thermal, transmission, and distribution sectors.
As Executive Vice-President, Mr. Triendl is now responsible for all SNC-Lavalin's power activities, including three business units in Montreal and Vancouver, as well as for joint ventures for regional and international projects.
