Scotiabank is pleased to announce the appointment of M. J. (Peggy) Mulligan to the position of Executive Vice-President, Systems & Operations. Based in Toronto, Mrs. Mulligan is responsible for all aspects of information technology, systems development, including Year 2000 readiness, and operations for Scotiabank's domestic and international banking, insurance and trust activities.

Mrs. Mulligan joined Scotiabank in 1990 as Senior Vice-President, Audit and Chief Inspector. She was previously a partner at Price Waterhouse.
