What is a podcast?

A podcast is very similar to a radio broadcast, except that it's broadcast on the Internet instead of over the airwaves. And instead of a radio, you listen to it on a computer - through an MP3 player or even in your Web browser.

Podcast episodes can be listened to or downloaded individually, or you can subscribe to them so that they are downloaded to your computer automatically whenever a new episode is published.
