| Rules and Regulations. HOW TO ENTER: The Hilton Family Thrill Seekers Contest opens Tuesday, November 1, 2005 12:01 a.m. (EST) and closes Tuesday, January 31, 2006 11:59 p.m. (EST) (the "Contest Period"). Only eligible entries received during the Contest Period will be entered in the Contest. No purchase necessary to enter. Although online access and an email account are required in order to participate in this Contest, no purchase of any kind is required. Many public libraries, retail businesses and others offer free access to computers and a number of Internet service providers and other companies offer free email accounts. ADMINISTRATION: This Contest is administered by Hilton Canada Inc. (the "Contest Sponsor"). All decisions of the Contest Sponsor are final and binding in all matters as they relate to this Contest. ELIGIBILITY: Maximum one entry per person per day will be accepted during the Contest Period. To enter and to be eligible to win, a person must be a legal resident of Canada and be over the age of majority in the province or territory in which they reside. The Contest is open to residents of Canada only. The Contest is not open to employees and representatives of the Contest Sponsor, including their respective subsidiaries, sponsor, advertising and promotional agencies and members of the immediate families of such employees or representatives and persons with whom such employees and representatives are domiciled. For the purpose of this Contest, "immediate family" is defined as parent, sibling, child or any person residing in the same household as, or domiciled with, any such employees or representatives. FRIEND REFERRAL PROGRAM: After you enter the Thrill Seekers Contest, when prompted, you may enter the email addresses of up to three (3) friends, each of whom will be sent an email on your behalf from your email address. You may only refer persons with whom you have an existing personal relationship and to whom email from you would not be considered spam. You will receive one (1) additional entry per day to the Thrill Seekers contest for referring 3 friends. DRAW: A random draw will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2006 (12:01pm EST). The random draw will be held for the contest by the Contest judges at 720 King Street West, 10th Floor, Toronto, Ontario to select one (1) entry from among all eligible entries received as the winner of the prizes (as described below). PRIZES: There will be four (4) prizes awarded during the Contest Period, each consisting of: AEROPLAN MILES50,000 Aeroplan Miles to redeem towards any Aeroplan Reward. In order to claim the prize, winner must be an Aeroplan member. Membership is free and can be done online by visiting www.aeroplan.com. Aeroplan Miles have no cash or monetary value but are redeemable under the Aeroplan program for flights and other rewards. The retail value of rewards obtained using Aeroplan Miles will vary depending on the Aeroplan reward schedule and other factors, details of which can be found at www.aeroplan.com. For example, under the reward schedule as at time of printing, 15,000 Aeroplan Miles may be redeemed for one short-haul Air Canada Hospitality ticket within Canada. The prize may be redeemed and be used only in accordance with Aeroplan rules and regulations, which are subject to change without notice. Taxes, landing and departures fees, and other charges and surcharges may apply to Aeroplan reward travel, and are the sole responsibility of the winner. Any other costs incurred in collecting and using the prize are the winner's sole responsibility. Prize must be accepted as awarded. The Prize may not be sold, transferred and is not convertible to cash. Prize is for Aeroplan Miles only. Booking redemption fee applies. Should the prize be redeemed for travel, no change in travel arrangements can be made once the booking has been confirmed. The Prize may not be used towards Aeroplan mileage accumulation program. Prize does not include transportation to and from the airport or between cities, accommodations, meals, insurance, or any other expenses not specifically mentioned. CONCERT/EVENT TICKETS $400 in TicketMaster gift certificates redeemable for tickets at any TicketMaster outlet in Canada (event tickets are subject to availability). Prizes are valid anytime before December 31st, 2006 (exempt TicketMaster Gift Certificates that have no expiry date). Prizes are valid in Canada only. WINNER NOTIFICATION AND SELECTION: Before being declared a winner, each selected entrant may be required to correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question, to be administered during a pre-arranged, mutually convenient time. Any selected entrant who cannot be contacted (or who fails to respond to any telephone message or email left for such selected entrant) within forty-eight (48) hours of the Contest Sponsor's first attempt to contact such selected entrant may, at the sole discretion of the Contest judges, be declared ineligible and the Contest judges reserve the right, in such event, in their sole discretion, to select at random one or more additional entrants whom they shall attempt to contact, and who shall be subject to disqualification, in the same manner. All entries become the property of the Contest Sponsor and none will be returned. Before being awarded a prize, the winner may also be required to sign a declaration and release form stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these Contest Rules, grants all consents required as contemplated in these Contest Rules, authorizes the Contest Sponsor to broadcast, publish and disseminate his/her name, address, photograph, likeness and voice, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news, entertainment and information purposes at no compensation to the selected entrant, accepts the prize as offered and releases the Contest Sponsor from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the selected entrant's participation in this Contest and receipt and use of the prize. The odds of winning a prize depends on the number of eligible entries received. GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Contest Sponsor extends absolutely no representations or warranties in respect of any prizes and accept no liability arising in respect of such prizes. Prizes must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions, provided that the Contest Sponsor shall have the right, at their sole discretion and for any reason, to substitute a prize or prizes of equal or greater monetary value. Prizes are non-transferable and not redeemable for cash. If for any reason in the opinion of the Contest Sponsor, in their sole discretion, the Contest is not capable of running as planned or if the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest is corrupted or adversely affected, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond their control, the Contest Sponsor reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest, including canceling any method of entry, and selecting a winner from previously received eligible entries. The Contest Sponsor will not be responsible for telephone, technical, network, online, electronic, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, misdirected, stolen, incomplete, garbled or delayed Internet/e-mail computer transmissions on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this Contest. The Contest Sponsor reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Contest Rules or otherwise in a disruptive manner. The Contest Sponsor reserve the right to modify the Contest Rules without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the Contest. Subject to all applicable Canadian federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations, these Contest Rules govern all aspects of the Contest and are binding on all participants Online entries will be deemed to have been submitted by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an interest access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g. business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. By submitting a contest entry the participant declares he/she has read, understood and complied with the contest rules and regulations. For Quebec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcohols, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement. PRIVACY POLICY: By entering information on the Contest entry form, you consent to the use of such information to administer, implement and fulfill this Contest.
