Ford reaches for top with Fusion

Back in the 1980s the Ford Taurus was the best-selling car in North America. It came out with its head-turning jellybean shape, front wheel drive fuel economy and a reputation for Quality as Job One. Then it lost its way. While Ford concentrated more on trucks and SUVs, the poor Taurus died from neglect. In 2006 the Ford Fusion took its place in the Ford lineup. The Fusion is a highly rated mid-sized car that’s positioned in between the compact Ford Focus and the full-size Ford that has now been given the famous Taurus name.
