Boyer, Patrick

First elected to Parliament in 1984, Patrick represented Toronto's EtobicokeŚLakeshore riding in the government of Brian Mulroney. During his time as an MP, he chaired committees on election law reform, equality rights and on the status of disabled persons. He was appointed to many positions including Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of External Affairs, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of National Defence and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, Science and Technology, to the Deputy Prime Minister, and to the Minister of Consumer and Corporate Affairs.

As an expert on Canadian constitutional law, Patrick taught law and political science at the University of Toronto, Wilfred Laurier University and the University of Guelph.
