∑ Hired by the Sechelt Nation in 1997 as the Director of Child and Family Services

∑ Moved to Burnaby in 1987 to attend Simon Fraser University where he received a Masterís degree in Criminology.
∑ While completing his degree, worked as a student liaison with federal prisoners, a Financial Assistance Worker for the Ministry of Human Resources in Sechelt, and as a Sessional Instructor at Simon Fraser University
∑ An accomplished cellist who has taught for 25 years and continues to perform and record with various orchestras, ensembles, bands and recording artists
∑ Board member of the Sunshine Coast Arts Council
