· Elected representative for Arts Undergraduates on the UBC Alma Mater Society for three consecutive years

· Member of student committees at UBC that instituted the extended health and dental program, student legal fund, the bus pass, the evaluation of the political science department

· B.C. Representative for the National Action Committee on the Status of Women for the past two years

· Member of the Canadian Feminist Alliance for International Action that made a submission to the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women.
