Pam Munroe is a Certified Management Accountant who worked in the oil and gas industry in Alberta from 1977 to 1995. During that period she progressed from accounting clerk to Controller and for the last two years was employed at Star Oil & Gas Ltd. where she was involved with environmental coordination for office and field work.
Since 1982 Ms Munroe has also volunteered her financial expertise for organizations in the education, health care, and environmental fields. She became involved with the Green Party in Alberta in 1990 and continued as an active member upon moving to BC in 2000. Currently Pam is the treasurer of the Green Party of BC and the Comox Valley Green Party constituency association, as well as the CEO of the Vancouver Island North Greens Electoral District Association.
As a Green Party candidate, Pam ran in the November, 2000 federal election and received 5.2% of the vote, the fourth highest percentage, and the fifth highest vote count of all Green Party candidates in Canada. In May, 2001 she ran as a candidate for the legislature of British Columbia and received 18.7% of the vote, the fifth highest percentage in British Columbia.
As a Green politician Pam is committed to electoral reform and good governance.
