Paynter, Farlie

British Columbia, Southern Interior, Canadian Action Party

Farlie Paynter is an orchardist who grew up in Kelowna, B.C. After high school, he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of B.C. completing courses in economics, science and horticulture. A few years later he returned to University to get a reaching certificate for Simon Fraser. Around this time, he met someone with a deep insight into life who encouraged him to become active in the political process. A new party was being set up in the early nineties, he became National Treasurer of the Canada Party and ran in 1993 Federal Election in the Surrey, Whiterock, S. Langley, riding. He was surprised to find that certain subjects are considered taboo, and never debated even during election time. Then Paul Hellyer started writing books about the demise of Canada as an independent nation, his new party, the Canadian Action Party, had simple intelligent actions which could eliminate all of Canada's pressing problems. For the first time, Canadians can and should have hope for the future. We should know how and why interest rates are set, who can and should control them. Who is the permanent government behind the scenes and how do we get back our power from them after we gave it to them originally? All Canadians should read Paul Hellyer's books, a truly great Canadian, the first truly honest politician, who has the guts to tell it like it is.
