David Mulroney is a first-time candidate for the Liberal Party. He has been a lawyer in private practice since 1981 and owns his own law firm. He also prosecutes narcotics, fisheries and income tax offences for the Attorney General of Canada.
Having served in leadership roles in numerous volunteer capacities, Mr. Mulroney is proud of his community involvement. He serves on the board of directors of the Royal British Columbia Museum Corporation and was a two-term President of the Friends of the RBCM, having served for the past ten years on that board.
He is also a Vice-Chairman of the RBCM Foundation. He has been on the boards of directors for several arts societies and has coached youth soccer. Mr. Mulroney is particularly proud of his involvement in a committee which built a 40-bed intermediate care lodge for seniors.
His campaign will apply the principles of respect, vision, action and courage to his treatment of the critical issues of health care, education, environment, western alienation, Aboriginal affairs, international trade and the military.
He is a long-time resident of Greater Victoria, currently living in Saanich with his wife of 26 years and their four children.
