Gary Lunn is the MP for Saanich-Gulf Islands, B.C. He currently serves as the Official Opposition's Senior Critic for Social Development.
Mr. Lunn has practiced law in Victoria and resides in Sidney. He is a member of the B.C. Law Society and journeyman carpenter.
He has worked as a construction superintendent in mines in B.C. and the Northwest Territories and as a safety officer for Crestbrook Forest Industries.
Mr. Lunn has taught first aid for St. John's Ambulance and CPR for the Canadian Heart Foundation and was a member of the Canadian Ski Patrol. He is an active member of the Knights of Columbus and sits on the Sidney/North Saanich Detachment Executive Police Advisory Committee.
Gary was born on May 8, 1957. He attended the University of Victoria, where he completed his Bachelor of Law. He was first elected to the House of Commons in 1997. He has served as Senior Critic for Fisheries and Oceans, National Revenue and International Trade.
Gary is married to Alexandra, they have two children, David and Victoria.
