Peggy Stortz has been actively involved with the Green Party since 1989. She has run in three campaigns federally and provincially in 1993, 1996 and 1997. Although she promotes all Green Party policies, she is most interested in encouraging people to explore new economic, social and political models as well as inspiring a reverence for all life on Earth.
Her approach to politics is spiritual and Earth-centred. Originally from the Niagara Peninsula, Peggy has lived in the Vancouver area since 1977 and on the North Shore since 1990. She is single and currently makes her livelihood teaching creative writing, theatre arts, and toddlers at a North Vancouver preschool. She is also a skilled writer, a prolific singer-songwriter and an engaging entertainer, especially for children.
Peggy lives in West Vancouver close to the banks of the Capilano River. She shares her rented house with two other tenants and grows herbs, vegetables and flowers on the property. She is honoured to represent North Vancouver in the upcoming election.
