Sukh Dhaliwal is a very active member of his community who has worked hard to make Surrey a stronger and more vital place.
He is a volunteer member of the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundationís Emergency Campaign Cabinet that will raise millions of dollars to assist in the construction of an expanded emergency ward at the hospital. He is also committed to the business community being an active member of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Dhaliwal is a strong advocate on issues such as youth violence, affordable post-secondary education, health care, human rights and transportation. He is also actively involved in issues surrounding multiculturalism and immigration.
He is a professional engineer having completed his studies at the University of Calgary and at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Mr. Dhaliwal is a small business owner, and employs 15 people in a successful land surveying enterprise.
Mr. Dhaliwal has been a supporter of Paul Martin since 1990. That support continued as he assisted Mr. Martin in British Columbia during the 2003 Liberal Leadership contest and at the leadership convention in Toronto.
He is married to Roni, with whom he has two school-aged children and a newborn. He and his wife look after his mom and dad.
