Since 1997, Randy has been the Executive Assistant to Grant McNally, the current Member of Parliament for Dewdney-Alouette. Before that, he was a pastor at Maple Ridge Baptist Church.
From 1985ó1992 he and his family lived in the Philippines where Randy was the Regional Director for a non-profit organization that does linguistic work among minority language groups. Earlier in his adult life he was a department store manager.
Randy graduated from Maple Ridge Secondary School in 1971. He has a bachelorís degree in theology and has done extensive graduate studies in linguistics. He has also completed several courses in non-profit management.
Randy has served on the board of directors for a number of non-profit organizations, including the local minor football association.
Because football is one of his passions, coaching his sonís football team was one of Randyís most enjoyable volunteer experiences.
Randy was born on August 30, 1953 in Salmon Arm, B.C. Shortly thereafter his family moved to Maple Ridge, B.C. where he grew up. Randy has been married to Ruth for thirty years and they have three adult children and one granddaughter.
