Born and educated in British Columbia, Ron Gray began his career in the Vancouver Sun newsroom, then worked for the Chilliwack, B.C. Progress. Ron has also been on the news staff of the BC Review, the Fiji Times, and BC Report. He was a public information officer for the BC Electric Co. (now B.C. Hydro), and for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
For the federal government's Trade Commission, Ron opened and managed an office in Cleveland, Ohio promoting tourism in Canada. Then, at the request of a Federal Assistant Deputy Minister, organized, opened and managed Federal Government Information Offices to serve Winnipeg and Vancouver. After successful completion of these assignments, he was part of the founding administration of Fraser Valley College (now University College of the Fraser Valley) as Public Information Officer, and later served in the same capacity at Trinity Western, Canada's internationally recognized Evangelical University.
A Christian since 1978, he has always been an active member of his local church.
Ron and Janet Gray have raised nine children - including adopted, step, and foster children.
