Randy White is the Conservative Party of Canada sitting Member of Parliament for the British Columbia riding of Abbotsford.
First elected to the House of Commons in 1993 for the Reform Party in the old Langley-Abbotsford constituency, Randy is a third-term MP having been re-elected in 1997 and 2000.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Randy is a long-time resident of Abbotsford. He has been involved in the community and the constituency as Past Director and Vice-President of the Upper Fraser Valley Child Development Pre-school for handicapped children.
He is the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship-Rotary International’s highest award for “Service Above Self.”
In his professional career, Randy served in the RCAF, spent four years with the Finance Division of Northern Canada Power Commission in the Yukon and North West Territories, was Director of Finance for Alberta Energy and served for 12 years as Abbotsford School District Secretary-Treasurer and CEO of business operations.
In Parliament, Randy has held the critic positions for Finance, Public Works, Solicitor General, and as Deputy Justice and Immigration. He also served as co-chair of the Parliamentary Committee studying the non-medical use of drugs in Canada, which created the first National Drug Strategy in over 30 years.
Married to Marty, they have two children, Jason and Trena.
