Justin Thompson's history is deep rooted in Calgary. He was born and raised in Calgary West, and continues to live and work in the riding today.
Most recently Mr. Thompson has been working as Manager of Development and Land Acquisition for Vision Quest Windelectric. Among his accomplishments at Vision Quest were the land acquisition, project design, and successful management of public consultations for Canada’s largest wind farm located near Fort Macleod, Alberta.
Mr. Thompson has long demonstrated his commitment to building strong communities. He is actively involved in organizations that promote sustainable economic development and education. He has served on several boards including the TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation and the Canadian Wind Energy Association.
Fluent in English and French, Mr. Thompson earned a master’s degree in public policy from Carleton University in Ottawa and a Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario. Politically engaged since high school, Mr. Thompson served as President of William Aberhart High School and the University of Western Ontario Students’ Council.
