Cathy McClusky is the federal Liberal Candidate for Calgary North Centre. Ms. McClusky was the founding president of the Wildrose riding and the federal Liberal candidate for Wildrose in the 1988 election.
She was a two-term President of the Federal Liberal Party of Canada in Alberta and was instrumental in bringing the 1990 leadership convention to Calgary. She served as a national policy co-chair at the 1992 convention in Ottawa.
Ms. McClusky has worked as an exploration geologist in the Calgary oil patch. She has also worked in the mining industry in a number of countries including Canada, Mexico, Guinea and Mongolia. She is currently working as a management consultant with clients from a variety of sectors including petroleum, utilities, telecommunications and retail.
She has an honours history degree form the University of Calgary, a BSc in Geology from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the University of Calgary. She speaks French and Italian.
Ms. McClusky is running in the next election to promote Canada's inclusive, tolerant and just society.
