Ron Cameron invites the people in the electoral district of Winnipeg South to consider their legacy for future generations, share their thoughts, and support innovative programs leading towards:
- clean air, water and soil
- sharing natural resources globally
- economies based on self-esteem and self-reliance
- free education
Ron has been married to his wife Darlene for 37 years. Ron grew up in Yorkton and Regina and Darlene on a farm Jennefer in Winnipeg and Jocelyn in-near Swan River. They have two daughters Vancouver.
Ron and Darlene Cameron first lived in Winnipeg from 1983 to 1989, when Ron was in charge of the RCMP Forensic Laboratory. Ron and Darlene were living in Vancouver when they retired and in 1999 they returned to Winnipeg.
Once back in Winnipeg, they bought an older home on a well-treed lot and got rid of their vehicle in favor of walking, cycling and bus riding.
Ron and Darlene volunteer in the community. Darlene spends one or two days a week at Riverview Hospital. Ron coaches swimming, participates in a master swim program and helps the Lifesaving Society.
