Alon Weinberg is the Green Party of Canada candidate for Winnipeg North.
Alon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Philosophy from the University of Winnipeg, in Manitoba. He has also studied spiritual traditions, languages and the environment.
Alon is an environmental educator and teaches fifth- and sixth-graders about natural cycles. He has worked as a teacherís assistant at the high school level and as a private tutor.
Additionally, Alon has worked with the Wilderness Committee, educating the public about the boreal forest of Lake Winnipegís East Shore. He has also worked in the North End for the Shalom Residences and as a Volunteer Board Member for the campaign to keep the old Jewish Public Library open.
Alon has family roots in the North End, where his grandparents founded the family business, Miracle Bakery on Main Street.
