1948 - Katharine Reimer was born in Germany.
1949 - With her parents she came to Canada. They settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She attended several Winnipeg Schools, among them the Mennonite Brethren Collegiate Institute during her Junior and Senior High years.
1968 - Katharine married David Reimer. They are the parents of three adult children.
Soon after their marriage, they opened four Happening Clothes Shops in Steinbach, Portage la Prairie, Selkirk and Beausejour, Manitoba. Working together in the business was for them an opportunity to exercise their areas of strength. They owned these stores for a period of eight years. For thirteen years, Katharine was also the Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce in Steinbach.
In the early 1980's she took on a career in sales in the furniture industry while her husband attended Bible School.
During 1985-86 they lived in Seattle, Washington working in a Christian School and at Colonial Bible Church. Returning to Canada, Katharine resumed her work in the furniture industry for a further period of five years.
In 1991 she and her husband accepted the Lordís leading to go home to Steinbach for Pastoral Ministry.
1994 to the present, Katharine is the owner-operator of The Steinbach Sears Dealer and Catalogue Store. She also runs a drapery business, operating under the name of Finishing Touches.
Katharine and her husband have had many foster children in their home over the past 13 years. At present she is mother to one adult and three younger children and the opportunity to share the love of Christ with these children is a great source of encouragement to them.
Katharine has spoken at many Women's Retreats and enjoys teaching. Her hobbies include studying, reading, music and travelling. She enjoys the ministry immensely as she works alongside her husband in Shalom Family Worship Centre in Steinbach, Manitoba.
