Limoges, Rick

Ontario, Windsor - Tecumseh, Liberal Party of Canada

Rick Limoges is well known for his work on behalf of his community. His long-standing reputation for honesty and action has helped him forge strong connections with people from all walks of life.

Mr. Limogesí broad community perspective comes from an extensive background in financial services, down-to-earth common sense, and his enthusiasm for helping people.

During his 14 years on the Windsorís City Council, he chaired a number of committees. In addition, he played a leadership role on the Police Services Board, Tunnel Commission, Waste Management Authority, Childrenís Aid Society, and Handi-Transit.

While the city's debt was reduced by half, to less than $50 million, during Mr. Limogesí chairmanship, it maintained the lowest tax increases for comparable cities in Ontario.

Mr. Limoges received a Citation for Bravery from the Windsor Police, was recognized as one of Windsorís Top Ten Most Influential People, and is an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 255.

He earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor, a Certificate in Personnel-Industrial Relations, and a Certificate in Business Administration. In addition, he has extensive training and experience in investment, trust and financial planning.

Mr. Limoges is the father of two grown children and, like Prime Minister Paul Martin, is deeply committed to his hometown community.
