Ken Boshcoff is a diligent and committed individual whose political accomplishments are extensive. His strong work ethic and understanding of community issues in Northern and rural areas is well known. Mr. Boshcoff is renowned for his ability to bring people together. He is a dedicated advocate for healthy, sustainable communities and is active with numerous environmental, charitable and community organizations.
For more than 25 years, Mr. Boshcoff has devoted his life to public service locally, provincially and nationally. From 1997 to 2003, he served as mayor of the City of Thunder Bay and, prior to that, city councillor. Mr. Boshcoff’s has been the only elected representative who has been the president of three major municipal associations. He has been called “one of the hardest working mayors in the country” and is known as “Mr. Community.”
Mr. Boshcoff is an exceptional team worker with a recognized leadership record. His campaign will focus on the New Deal for Communities, Aboriginal issues and Northern Economic Development – concerns with which he has notable knowledge and expertise.
Mr. Boshcoff graduated with an H.B.A. / B.A. (Hon.) ?? in Political Science and Economics from Lakehead University in 1972 and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University in 1975. A life-long learner, Mr. Boshcoff speaks and writes intermediate French and holds black belts in three martial arts disciplines. Ms. Boshcoff lives in Thunder Bay.
