Tim Dobson lives and works in Pickering. A graduate of McMaster University in Chemistry, Tim has enjoyed a very successful career in the electric power industry. He currently manages a team of technical specialists accountable for safety inspections in the nuclear industry.
Tim is a very proud Canadian dissatisfied with the legacy created by the Liberal government in Ottawa. He has entered public life because he passionately believes that our trust and confidence in the national government can be restored, and he has a vision for governing our country in a new and different way.
He shares the same basic values of many Canadians-commitment to his family, friends and neighbours; respect for the law; a strong work ethic; and a desire for real progress.
Tim is the proud father of two sons: Andrew, age 20 and Jamie, age 11.
Tim's political experience includes candidacy for the Canadian Alliance in the 2000 Federal Election, as well as serving on Boards of Directors for riding associations, both provincially and federally.
He worked on Janet Ecker's re-election campaign in Fall, 2003 (Pickering-Ajax-Uxbridge) and is a board member of the new Conservative Party of Canada Electoral Association for Pickering-Scarborough East.
Past community service includes the Boy Scouts of Canada, minor baseball coaching and as Chairman of a United Church Board of Directors.
His recreational interests include travel, skiing and scuba diving.
