Sarmite (Sam) Bulte is a successful lawyer, a tireless advocate for the Arts and the CBC, and a leader in the support of small business and women entrepreneurs.

She has put her energy and skills to work for the people of Parkdale-High Park. During her seven years on Parliament Hill, her achievements are significant, including:

2004: Elected Chair of the Ontario Liberal Caucus

- 2004: Elected Chair of the Standing Committee on Canadian Heritage

2002: Appointed Chair of The Prime Ministers Task Force on Women Entrepreneurs

2002: Completed a 2 year term as Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Canadian Heritage

For almost 20 years before entering politics, Sam operated her own full service law firm in Toronto; in the Arts, she is a former President and Chair of CanStage where she led the popularization of The Dream in High Park; and in the women’s business community, she was a founding member, Director and Vice-President of Women Entrepreneurs of Canada.

Sam earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto and her Bachelor of Law from the University of Windsor.

Sarmite Bulte is honoured to be seeking a third term as the Liberal Member of Parliament for Parkdale-High Park.
