Dave MacKenzie has extensive experience within the Woodstock City Police Department. As an active member of the force, Dave held the following positions:

§ Police Constable 1967-1973

§ Police Detective 1974-1985

§ Inspector 1985-1986

§ Deputy Chief of Police 1986-1987

§ Chief of Police 1987-1997

Currently, Dave is the General Manager of Roetin Industries Canada, a Division of Roetin Industries, Victor, N.Y.

Dave has served on many community boards including: Woodstock General Hospital Foundation; United Way of Oxford; Children’s Aid Society of Oxford; Women’s Emergency Centre; Past President Woodstock Rotary Club.

He also served as Fund-Raising Chair for Woodstock Seniors Centre; Fund-Raising Chair for Building the Vision, a new hospital in Woodstock.

In 1997 and 2000, Dave was the candidate of record for the federal Progressive Conservative Party.

He was the Bosnia-Hercegovina trainer for National Democratic Institute, Washington, D.C., in 2002.

And most recently, Dave became the nominated candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada, Oxford Electoral District, 2004.
