Belinda Stronach is the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) candidate in the Ontario constituency of Newmarket-Aurora.
Prior to successfully seeking the CPC nomination in the riding, Belinda was President and CEO of Magna International Inc., the world’s most diversified supplier of automotive parts.
Belinda grew up in Newmarket and attended Rogers Public School, Sacred Heart High School and Newmarket High.
She currently lives in Aurora with her two children.
Belinda is a founding member of the Canadian Automotive Partnership Council and a Director of the Yves Landry Foundation, established to advance technological education and skills training for Canadian youth.
She served on the Ontario Task force on Productivity, Competitiveness and Economic Progress, and is a member of the Dean’s Council at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, as well as the Dean’s Advisory Council at the Joseph L Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
In 2002, Belinda was ranked at #2 by Fortune magazine in its list of the world’s most powerful women in business.
