Pierre Poilievre is the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) candidate in the Ontario riding of Nepean-Carleton.
He lives in Nepean where he owns and operates a communications and marketing research company.
In his professional career, Pierre has worked with Magna International as a communications specialist and also for a respected Toronto public relations firm.
Pierre was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta where his parents were teachers. He studied International Relations at the University of Calgary where during his student years there was an acclaimed debator, winning many major awards at Model United Nations Conferences.
The model UN conferences featured debate with Canadian and American schools including Harvard and Yale.
Pierre also won a major award as an author of his book on public policy titled ‘At Stake.’ The book dealt with reforming government. He also worked in a variety of policy-related roles for Conservative Members of Parliament, Jason Kenny and Stockwell Day—the Party’s Senior Foreign Affairs critic.
Pierre and his partner Jenni Byrne, also of Ottawa, share a mutual interest in politics.
