Jeff Brownridge is a long time wilderness and environmental enthusiast. He owns and runs an adventure tours company called Waypoint Outdoor Adventures that specializes in rock climbing, canoeing and high angle rescue. He frequently spends his summers canoeing Ontario's waterways or climbing on the Niagara Escarpment, a UNESCO world biosphere reserve. He was born in Oakville and has lived in Ontario for most of his life.
Jeff graduated from Georgian College in Barrie Ontario with a diploma in Aviation Management. He is currently finishing an honours BA specializing in History at the University of Toronto at Mississauga. Jeff also completed a 30 day leadership development course through the Canadian Outward Bound Wilderness School.
Jeff has served in the Canadian Forces as a reservist. He has worked as a rock climbing instructor, in the construction industry, as a legal assistant and as a manager of a small business. Jeff is a member of the Access Committee of the Alpine Club of Canada where he works with conservation authorities and rock climbers to safeguard the old growth forests of the Niagara escarpment.
Jeff is a recipient of the Green Party of Canada's Leadership Award in recognition of his dedication to minority language issues.
Jeff currently lives in Mississauga with his fiancée Amanda.
