Navdeep Singh Bains' life has been characterized by a strong sense of social responsibility and a real dedication to improving the quality of life of all Canadians.
Mr. Bains completed a Bachelor's degree in business at York University, and then earned an MBA from the University of Windsor. Thereafter, Mr. Bains began a successful career at the Ford Motor Company of Canada as a financial analyst, while concurrently completing his Certified Management Accountant's designation.
His community involvement includes volunteering at both the Daily Bread Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity, as well as serving as a member on the Diversity Council at Ford. While at York University, Mr. Bains was active in political, athletic and cultural extracurricular activities for students.
Mr. Bains has also been instrumental in organizing a number of youth initiatives in his own community, such as leadership retreats, a weekly drop-in basketball program, and a mentoring club aimed at providing positive role models for grade school children.
Additionally, he has been active in his efforts to help youth through organizations such as the Sunshine Walk for Dreams and the Guru Gobind Singh Children's Foundation.
Mr. Bains' passion and ability to effectively communicate ideas has earned him a position as a leader and spokesperson for his community, and he is often invited to speak on radio and television programs.
