Paul is a father, a husband, and responsible community citizen. Paul was born in Brazil and moved to Canada with his family as a teenager and went on to pursue studies in Architectural Technology. Paul has been very involved with his community. He joined the Naval Reserves in 1996, and since then has been heavily involved with the Canadian Forces Cadet Movement. Paul was also a founding member of Brasilnet, a network promoting Brazilian professionals and diversity in Canada. Paul has been awarded the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for his efforts with the Canadian Airlines Employees Charitable Foundation, the Canadian Cadet Movement and Brasilnet. Paul has also earned the Cadets Caring for Canada Environmental Appreciation Award for supporting the environmental and citizenship initiatives in the Cadet Movement, and the Lt(N) G. Wong memorial award for excellence in leadership. Paul ran for office previously for the Green Party of Ontario in the Brampton West Mississauga riding. Paul is currently employed with Air Canada as an In-flight Service Professional, and is also working towards his Bachelor of Arts Degree (Anthropology) at the University of Toronto. Paul currently lives in his riding with his wife Luciana and daughter Beatriz.
