Wallace, Mike

Ontario, Burlington, Conservative Party of Canada

Mike Wallace was first elected to Burlington City Council in the fall of 1994 to represent the southeast area of the City.

Among other accomplishments, during Mike’s first term in office he proposed a smaller, more efficient and effective City Council. His efforts led to a reduction in the size of City Council from 17 to 7.

Mike was re-elected in 1997 and 2000. He represents the area from Walker’s Line to Burloak Drive south of the QEW.

Mike has been married to Caroline for 16 years. They have two daughters Ashley and Lindsay.

Mike is a graduate of the University of Guelph with a double major in economics and political science. He has had politics in his blood for many years, serving as Student Council President at the University of Guelph.

He and Caroline have been residents of Burlington since 1987. Mike also works for Fairview Renovations, a Burlington company in the window and door replacement business. Caroline is a licensed real estate agent.

Mike also likes to run. He has completed three marathons and has set himself a goal of running a marathon in every province. He is also always open to a round of golf.
