Lloyd St. Amand has resided in Brantford since 1979 and has practiced law on a full-time basis since moving there in 1979.
He has practiced primarily in the area of family law, but also has extensive experience in criminal law. For several years, he was a member of the panel representing children under the auspices of the Office of the Children's Lawyer, and was a part-time Crown Attorney.
Throughout his years in the Brant riding, Mr. St. Amand has been involved in a number of community organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Multiple Sclerosis Society, St. Joseph's Hospital, Brant Waterways Foundation, and Nova Vita Women's Services. He was a Big Brother for ten years and coached minor hockey for seven years.
A long-time member of the Liberal Party, Mr. St. Amand and was an active participant in the Honourable Jane Stewart's successful campaigns for election and re-election in 1993, 1997 and 2000.
Mr. St. Amand feels that his extensive involvement in various community groups in Brant riding, coupled with the skills acquired during his representation of many individuals, will allow him to effectively and responsibly serve the interests of the residents of the Brant riding.
He has been involved in a long-time relationship with Helen Dallaway, the mother of two sons.
